Erin's Independent Wheelchair Transfer

Please watch Erin as she shows off how she can transfer from her wheelchair all by herself. This is HUGE and gives her one more way in which to be independent (very important to a 5 year old little girl). She can't wait to show her therapists, both at Kennedy Krieger and at school. She is so proud, and so are we! Here is the video.

Let us know what you think, so we can share it with Erin.

Erinnnnnnnn!!!!! Way to go!! Congratulations!! You're such a strong little girl. I'm sure I couldn't do that by myself (and I'm 27!!). I'm so proud of you!! Sending you lots of hugs all the way from Germany :)

Super job, Erin! It is so fun to be able to do something after practicing for a really long time, isn't it? Independence is a precious gift and day by day you're gaining more.

Wow, that is so super Erin! You must be so strong to be able to transfer back and forth! You're becoming so independent it'll soon be hard for your sisters to keep up with you! Lots of big hugs from PA.

Way to go Erin! How about a wheelchair back flip at the skatepark? I bet you could do that one day, but I', not sure your parents would let you.
